Beginning practice in 1982 and continuing to date, Patrick Hoover and Patrick Hoover Law Offices offer individuals, families and other client groups, focused and targeted legal services, tailored to the needs and directions of each client. The firm's juvenile and general law practice includes court proceedings involving personal injury and negligence law, custody and gaurdianship, delinquency, drugs, assaults, gun possession, theft and assault. Our school and regular education and special education practice addresses legal issues in both public and private schools. These issues include suspensions, expulsions, transfer issues, public and public and non-public placement and programming services, reasonable accommodations, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, mediation and due process appeal hearings in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the ADA and Section 504 of the Civil Rights Act, directed at children and youth who are physically and or emotionally disabled, suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder and/or other disabilities. The firm takes pride in its special work as counsel and advisor to families of children with special needs. With 25 years of experience in courtroom and administrative disputes, respecting all facets of juvenile, criminal and civil law, we represent clients throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia who have come to understand the meaning of trust and confidence in a law firm.
We regularly appear in the following venues: Juvenile court, District, Circuit and federal courts, before local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, the Maryland Department of Justice, and within a multitude of schools and school districts on matters of Special Education, Manifestation Determination Hearings. Our law practice invovles: Civil Trial Practice, Criminal Defense including, drug cases, domestic violence, sexual assault as well as Traffic Violation including , Drunk Driving, Vehicular Homicide, Hit and Run, Driving While Suspended.
We manage a regular case load of Personal Injury and Premises liability cases, Wills, Trusts, Probate, Custody, and Guardianships.
